How to Get Clear Skin

You don't need an expensive or time-consuming routine to get clear skin. Here's how to improve your skin easily in just two weeks.

I’ve got something to confess. At one point I didn't take as good care of my skin as I should have.

Sure, I washed my makeup off every night and, because I only used plant-based products, my skin was much clearer than it could've been.

Truthfully, when you're running a skincare company and have two kids it can be a little difficult to give your skin the attention it needs.

I had small bumps on my neck and cheeks and my pores never seemed to be clean. I didn’t feel comfortable going out in public with no makeup on and I hated letting people stand too close to me.

To say the least, I had to figure out what to do!

That's why I developed a 4-step routine to combat acne even before it starts to show up!

How Do Breakouts Form?

Acne tends to start developing a few weeks before you start to see (and feel) blemishes popping up on your skin.

Typically, the condition develops when oil and dirt become trapped in the pores on your face.

This can be caused by an overproduction of oil, or sebum, as well as a build-up of bacteria.

Acne can take the form of whiteheads or blackheads, known as comedones.

Lifestyle habits, such as smoking and diet, can also contribute to the development of acne.

Stress, hormonal imbalances, and genetics are factors that can make you more prone to the condition too.

Your 4-Step Routine to Clear Skin

A lot of skincare routines can have you spending a whole lot of time and money for minimal results.

I wanted a routine that would clear my skin while keeping things as simple as possible.

Here are my results after one week of using a very easy beauty routine every day with only Era Organics products.

As you can see, my skin tone evened out, bumps went down, my pores are clearer and blemishes all but disappeared.

Pretty miraculous for just one week of a simple routine!

Try this 4-step routine to see if you notice a difference after using it for one week.

If not, give it another week or so. It can take 2 to 4 weeks for your skin to fully renew.

Step 1: Keep Your Face Clean

There are many things you can do to help fight acne, but washing your face morning and night is an important one for keeping your skin clear.

Religiously washing your face removes excess oil, dirt, and dead skin as well as what isn’t so obvious - the amount of pollution and environmental gunk that is sitting on your face as you read this.

It is also important to use a botanical makeup remover. Not doing so can lead to inflammation that creates free radicals. This can cause premature aging.

Dr. Robins Ashinoff, Director of Cosmetic Dermatology at Hackersack Medical Center, says “When makeup is left on, it blocks the natural exfoliating process, which can leave your skin looking dull.”

Not washing your face leads to clogged pores and as we get older, enlarged pores.

Keep your skin clean and smooth with a food-grade face wash that is pH balanced for skin, such as our Tea Tree Cleanser.

With all-natural ingredients like pomegranate seed oil and dandelion root, it’s the perfect solution to keep your skin clean and oil-free.

Step 2: Exfoliate Regularly

The next important step in keeping your skin clear is exfoliating 2-3 times a week.

The older we are, the more our skin’s natural ability to shed dead skin cells decreases, resulting in the old skin cells building up, causing dull, flaky skin, (my biggest problem).

Using a good microdermabrasion face scrub, such as our Revive+ Face Exfoliation scrub helps to remove the dead skin, and allows our fresh, new skin to breathe.

Our specially formulated Manuka honey and walnut formula will really bring out your skin’s inner glow in just minutes!

 Step 3: Moisturize

You have to moisturize regularly. I’ll say it again because it’s so important, “Moisturize!”

ooking young into your later years.

Hydrating the skin allows the cells to quickly repair themselves and create new cells.

This can help fight acne, redness, and oily skin. For the best results, try our extra soothing and nourishing Tea Tree Cream.

With ingredients such as green tea extract, hyaluronic acid, goldenseal, and more, this moisturizer provides the skin with all the essential nutrients it needs to heal, rejuvenate, and glow.

Step 4: Adjust Your Diet

Your diet is key to removing toxins.

Make sure you’re eating plenty of leafy greens and antioxidant-rich foods.

Cut back on wheat, sugar, and dairy as these all lead to oily skin. Finally, and most importantly, drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.

You’d be surprised how much skin damage is caused by diet.

Keeping your skin free from toxins and chemicals is key to looking young into your later years.

Make Sure You Have the Right Products

Pretty simple right? My skin is looking and feeling better after just 1 week on this regimen.

Not only is it helping me look my best right now, but in the long run, it's saving my skin from unnecessary lines and wrinkles.

I thought I had pretty good results by just washing my face at night, but seeing the difference between back when I had no regime and now, I will never go back.

Now it’s your turn! Get your skin care products, follow the same routine, and enjoy your results!
