I’ve got something to confess. I don’t take as good care of my skin as I should. Sure, I wash my face of makeup every night and because I only use plant-based products, my skin is much clearer than it used to be.

The problem is, my skin is flaky and dull on a pretty regular basis. I’ve got small bumps on my neck and cheeks and my pores never seem to be clean. I don’t feel comfortable going out in public with no makeup on and I hate letting people stand too close to me.

A lot of skin care routines can have you spending a whole lot of time and money for minimal results. I wanted a routine that would clear my skin while keeping things as simple as possible.

Here are my results after one week of using a very easy beauty routine every day with only Era Organics products.

As you can see, my skin tone evened out, bumps went down, my pores are clearer and blemishes all but disappeared. Pretty miraculous for just one week of a simple routine!

1. Reduce Pimples

There are many things you can do to help fight acne that you can find here, but washing your face morning and night is an important one for keeping your skin clear. It removes excess oil, dirt and dead skin.

What isn’t so obvious is the amount of pollution and environmental gunk that is sitting on your face as you read this.

It is also important to use a botanical makeup remover. Not doing so can lead to inflammation which creates free radicals that cause premature aging.

2. Smooth Your Skin


The next important step is exfoliating 2-3 times a week.

Your diet is also key to removing toxins. Make sure you’re eating tons of leafy greens and antioxidant rich foods. Cut back on wheat, sugar and dairy as these all lead to oily skin. Finally, and most importantly, drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.

You’d be surprised how much skin damage is caused by diet.

4. Wrinkles
